Our Island
Barbados is an island in the Eastern Caribbean, known for its temperate climate, white sandy beaches, beautiful environment and warm, friendly people. Sugar has been an integral part of life here since the sixteenth century, and has had an enduring impact upon the landscape in the form of the many old Plantation Houses and Cane Fields dotted around the island. We are particularly proud of the real contribution that Plantation Reserve is making to the maintenance of this unique island and are delighted to play a central part in the regeneration of an industry that has long been a way of life for so many people.
Barbados is justifiably popular as a destination and if you visit us, we suggest that you take a little time to visit the Morgan Lewis Mill, the oldest functioning wind-powered sugar mill in the world, which we support in partnership with the Barbados National Trust.
